Formerly a 19th-century hunting lodge, restored in 1992, the Tapis Vert is located in a clearing in the Multonne Forest.
The green setting, the rare species of the Arboretum du Tapis Vert as well as its pond and peat bog, have allowed one of the cottage to be approved "Panda" by the cottage of France, the WWF and the Parc Normandie Maine.
The cottages are reserved primarily for hosting artists in residence or in training.
